Description:
Amazon seeks driven data scientists with exemplary leadership qualities who are capable of creating, automating, and running analytical models of our systems. Computer science, engineering, operations research, or process control coursework and/or experience are highly suitable for this position. A plus is additionally having experience integrating model-based engineering tools and/or performing multidisciplinary analysis and optimisation.
Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai are the locations.
Internships at Amazon need a full-time commitment. Interns shouldn’t have any conflicts with their internships, including but not limited to those involving schoolwork, classes, or other internships or jobs, while they are taking part in them. Any information pertaining to the exam must be communicated with the recruiting manager in order to schedule absences during certain times. At the start of the internship, the hiring/reporting manager will explain the specific team standards regarding working hours. Candidates who receive internship confirmation must submit a declaration of their availability to complete the entire internship period, duly approved by an appropriate authority at their University. The declaration must be successfully submitted in order for the internship to begin.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Track record of generating significant analytical solutions that have an impact on business
- R/SAS/Matlab and SQL experience
- Outstanding proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Capacity for problem-solving and a love of large data
- Strong interpersonal and data presenting abilities
- Excellent spoken and written English
Responsibilities:
- Apply data analysis and statistical methods to create solutions that enhance the customer experience and serve as a basis for business decisions.
- Implement innovative ways to forecasting and prediction, including identifying predictors and causes of business-related challenges.
- Recognise opportunities, make analysis to find them, manage them, and put out written business recommendations.
- Work with various teams as a leader of quantitative analysis, developing solutions that adhere to the strictest criteria for analytical rigour and data integrity.
- Examine and resolve enterprise issues at the source.
Skills Required:
- A master’s degree or comparable advanced degree in computer science, computer engineering, statistics, mathematics, or a technical field connected to these fields. It is preferable to have practical experience and project-based learning in computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
- Academic experience with model selection, model training, cross-validation, and scaled implementation.
- Academic or project experience using MXNet, TensorFlow, Caffe, and PyTorch toolkits for machine and deep learning.
- Academic familiarity with Hadoop and Apache Spark, two popular big data technologies.
- Experience in Python, R, and SQL data processing.
- Experience with AWS AI/ML services, including Amazon EMR, AWS Lambda, SageMaker, Machine Learning, IoT, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, Amazon EC2 Container Service, Green Grass, etc., is highly desirable.
