Role Overview:
You will carry out software testing and test automation tasks as a member of a product quality engineering team, with an emphasis on products or systems. These tasks include test automation, software testing, documentation, debugging, and software testing in order to produce the upcoming line of network security products.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A degree in computer science, electronics, information technology, or data communications combined with zero to one year of software development experience (even for those pursuing final-year engineering degrees).
- Solid foundations in networking, cryptography, software engineering, and data structures.
- Practical knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as C, C++, Java, Shell script, Perl, Python, and SQL.
- Knowledge of GIT, Jenkins, Selenium, JIRA, and Confluence, among other tools and technologies.
- Able to independently write test code and design tests.
- Excellent analytical, logical, and communication abilities.
- Team player with lots of enthusiasm and a positive outlook who can come up with creative ideas.
Responsibilities:
- Create test plans, strategies, and scenarios for the features of the product that will be released with it.
- Create test automation utilising Python and Java for the product’s test scenarios.
- Debug and remove problematic automated test cases, or rectify test cases that fail, while adhering to an agile methodology for product development.
- Acquire knowledge of and begin using the product engineering tools efficiently.
- Collaborate with leads to design the CI/CD automated testing checkpoints and address issues that arise with each build and milestone.
