Position Overview:
We are looking for a CloudOps Graduate Trainee to join our team and help with operations, automation development, and deployment.
You will work closely with our Ops and Engineering teams as a CloudOps Graduate Trainee to support the operations, deployment, and maintenance of our SaaS applications.
This Graduate Training opportunity will give you valuable hands-on experience with SaaS Ops practises and technologies, as well as exposure to real-world Automation projects.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Currently studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and SaaS operations principles.
- Knowledge of version control systems (for example, Git) and collaboration tools (for example, GitHub, Bitbucket).
- Understanding of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Exposure to containerization technologies (for example, Docker) and orchestration tools (for example, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (for example, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- The ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day tasks and activities of the assigned department or project.
- Work with the Engineering and Operations teams to understand the project’s requirements and objectives.
- Shifts are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Assist in the setup and upkeep of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Help with the automation of operations tasks, deployment, and testing.
- Monitor and optimise application performance, scalability, and reliability in collaboration with the team.
- Contribute to the setup and management of infrastructure and cloud resources (for example, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud).
- Assist with the installation and management of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Participate in the investigation and resolution of production problems.
- To ensure smooth software delivery, work with cross-functional teams that include developers, testers, and system administrators.
- Investigate and assess new tools and technologies to improve the SaaSOps workflow.
- Help to document deployment procedures, infrastructure setup, and troubleshooting guides.
